Imagine a World...
I had a thought swimming around in my head today; Imagine what the world would be like if nobody wanted or tried to exert power over anybody else, or over any other living thing...
I just came across "On being a Piper" through an tImeall. It is a lovely piece, I could almost smell the damp earth. Ádh mór agus grma, Hilary Mhic Shuibhne
Imagine a World... well, there wouldnt be young american soldiers in Iraq for starters.
Today is Veterans' Day (Armistace Day), so here's something appropriate. And thanks to you, and all who served and serve our country.
"They went with songs to the battle, they were young. Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow. They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted: They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them."
I've been pondering this entry since you posted it. If you choose a broad definition of power, such as the kind of power that parents have over their children (or is that authority?) - if they didn't use that power, seems like things would get chaotic. I've come up with many other examples where the complete balance of power would have either positive and negative effects, which has been interesting and helped pass a few moments that might otherwise have been boring. (bank lines, ugh!) Thanks for the "food for thought!"

I've been pondering this entry since you posted it.
